Qodem

Status: Verified Tested version: Qodem 1.0.1 Documentation: reviewed public guidance

Use Qodem's Phone Book for a custom Telnet port:

  1. Press I or Insert for a new entry.
  2. Set Method to TELNET.
  3. Set Address to 127.0.0.1 and Port to the board's configured port.
  4. Select ANSI emulation and CP437.
  5. Press F10 or Alt-Enter to save.
  6. Highlight the entry and press Enter to dial.

Use an 80×25 or larger host terminal; Qodem 1.0.1 warns when its interface has only 80×24. In the tested build, the saved Phone Book entry was the reliable path for a non-default port. This guide does not claim the direct --connect host:port shortcut.

The recorded call completed new-caller registration, message post/read and Your Messages, file listing, ASCII download, and ASCII upload. A later restored-board call proved persisted login, messages, files, Help, and another ASCII download. Terminal transfer shortcuts are Alt/Ctrl-PgUp for upload and Alt/Ctrl-PgDn for download.

Qodem advertises ZMODEM auto-start, but this operator checkpoint did not establish a new Qodem binary-transfer pass. Use the claim exactly as scoped.
