SyncTERM
Create a SyncTERM directory entry with:
- connection type Telnet;
- address
127.0.0.1; - the board's configured port, normally
2323; - ANSI-BBS screen mode, CP437, and 80×25;
- local echo off; and
- local upload/download directories chosen before transfer testing.
Keep Telnet binary negotiation enabled so binary transfer bytes are not altered by network virtual terminal translation.
For a quick directory connection, press Ctrl-D and enter:
telnet://127.0.0.1:2323
The reproducible command-line form used in acceptance was:
syncterm -IA -T telnet://127.0.0.1:2323
Ordinary users can use the application UI. SyncTERM 1.9rc4 passed Sysop login, ANSI menus, messages, files, an upload, and clean logoff during the current local-guide checkpoint. Preserved project acceptance also verifies actual SyncTERM XMODEM, YMODEM, and ZMODEM interoperability; this documentation pass did not rerun every binary protocol.
For client-specific options, see the external SyncTERM Manual.
